I am a conceptually based mixed media, installation and performance artist.

My intuitively explicit way of working fuels how I define the message, effectively addresses my inherent need to create and structures the material quality and presentation of my emotionally-charged personal work.

My artwork is a venue to discuss my experiences as a woman of color—psychologically and culturally navigating and negotiating social constructions and the politics of race, gender, sexuality, desire and spirituality. My work is an abstract, conceptual response to the cathartic and cognitive behavior processes within my life experiences. I explore each of these ideas through a "play" with image, text, material and space/environment to communicate multiple layers of meaning.

In the process of creating and venting, self-discoveries are made and the healing and understanding begins.

It's an exciting way to create, live and thrive as an artist and human being.
